Unfortunately, had a pretty bad experience with the salon. I received a call from the salon 22 minutes before my 11 AM appointment, notifying me that my stylist was not in that day. I was on my way to salon and received the call from Kristie, who supposedly felt so bad about situation(said this many times) and said that I could reschedule with my stylist(Mercedes), who is amazing, or still come in and be put with someone on same level as my stylist. I initially tried to reschedule but ended up calling right back and going in at 11:15. A pretty bad haircut later and discovering that I had been placed with their new assistant for my cut, had me extremely upset. My regular stylist is incredible, with many years of experience, so to be treated that way and told I would be with same level stylist and put with the junior staff member was actually just kind of hurtful. The person who did my cut was extremely nice and this complaint is not towards that individual, although I was not happy at all with the cut. I tried calling Kristie the day after my appointment to let her know how disappointed I was with how she handled my situation and that I was aware she had placed me with their new assistant. Kristie had already left for the day and the gentleman I spoke with took my name/number to give to her for a return call. 10 days later and never heard from Kristie. This was all so avoidable, which just makes this more frustrating. If there was not an available stylist on the level of my regular, she should have relayed that and I 100% would have just waited for my regular stylist.. If it was a matter of paying for the services(she had told me they would not charge for the cut because it was their fault, which I said was not necessary because scheduling mistakes happen, not a big deal!) I would have had ZERO issue doing so with someone on the same level. Bottom line, lying to a client, however insignificant she thinks anyone is, is not ok. If you say you are putting me with someone on the same level, you do that, end of story. Overall, this salon and my stylist in particular are amazing! I am not going to give a low star rating, as I would not want to do anything to negatively impact the salon as a whole and especially not my stylist. This complaint is solely towards Kristie, who happens to be the salon director. I am one person, sharing one bad experience I had. Hopefully, I am the only one and this is not something that anyone else has dealt with or will have to deal with.
