About
SILER CITY AUTOMOTIVE is a family-owned business that has been serving Siler City since 1970. Owner JIMMY BROWER took over in 1996 from his dad, "BIG JIM" BROWER, who founded the business and still comes into the shop every day to keep an eye on things. The Browers have lived near Siler City for generations. "I'm living on the same land my great-grandpa did," Jimmy says. He started out as a mechanical engineer, getting his degree from NC State in 1981 and going off to work in the Texas oilfields. It was an exciting job, but he missed North Carolina and was ready to come home when his dad called and asked him to join the business. They built the current building in 1988 and have grown from one employee to nine. Jimmy presides from behind a built-up desk overlooking the auto bays. When a neighbor came in for an oil change, he stopped to reminisce about how her husband used to drive him to Boy Scouts and Little League games. On the wall beside the desk hangs their creed: "Our mission is to maintain your vehicle in "Like New" condition. Please let us know if you want anything less."

As usual, Siler City Automotive provided excellent service. This was an oil change and 'check engine' problem for me. The whole time that I spent at the service center was about an hour, which I considered quite timely.
Jimmy explained the check engine light problem and I was on my way.

I recently went to Siler City Automotive for an oil change. I felt like it was taking forever until Jimmy came to me with some news. My car was leaking water & was going to need a new water pump! :( He let me know I could bring car back to replace pump. The following Tuesday, I dropped my car off...picked her up Wednesday with a new pump & a new tire that was needed. Now my "baby" rides better than before & the AC gets cool quick! I will continue to go here for all my car repairs & questions! I've never walked away dissatisfied with the work that was done. Only thing is, I wish I could take them with me when/if I ever leave the area!

Jimmy and his staff treat your auto as if it were there own. they are very thorough.been doing business with Siler City Automotive for over 30 years wouldn't go to any other place. our company works out of Raleigh but any auto of ours gets towed back to Siler City to Siler City Automotive for repair We don't trust our autos with any one else.

I always feel my car is in good hands at Siler
City Automotive.
My request from my latest visit is to be given, up front, an estimate of the bill and
and explanation of the work that is to be done
that day. The bill was over $400. Quite a bit more than my usual bills. I was
informed the systems would be flushed but
but I do not know what that means in "everyday
language!" I realize, also, that I need to ask questions when I do not understand something and what the charge of that "something" will be.
Someone there was kind enough to take my car
across town and deposit it so it could be washed and cleaned. I feel very fortunate
these good guys are close by to service my car
and provide extra service when they can.
