About
Skin City was founded by the present owner, Brigitta Burr-Melendy, in July 1995. Our location has always been at 323 Divisadero Street in the heart of San Francisco. Brigitta is a native San Franciscan who has great respect and pride for her home base. An esthetician since May 1993, she has developed her practice steadily over the years to eventually realize the dream of creating an atmosphere that is warm, welcoming and affordable. Through the continued service-oriented efforts of the staff, the salon maintains a client base of several hundred regulars some of whom have been clients since opening in 1995! Many of these loyal clients are now also considered friends.
Skin City is known not only as a skin care salon, but also a neighborhood supporter of various community events. It is a way of giving back to a community that has allowed the salon to flourish.

Came home to find lots of hair left on my bottom after Brazilian. Went back and had it removed. Then today found more hair, even very long ones, left on my labia. Very disappointed and frustrated. You are very near to where I live but this is just too expensive for what you get.

Just read your review. Again, I apologize for the inconvenience of you having to return for missed hairs. As I had mentioned on your return, I would extend a discount on your next visit if you choose to return. Not to make any excuses, but I have been waxing clients for 20+ years, and on occasion we miss hairs. I hope you understand.
