Usually my experience there is swell, but today I underwent a Zoom whitening procedure. I kind of felt I was thrown into a situation that was so uncomfortable and painful that I feel I really should have been forewarned, with more clarity what I was entering into.
The young Dental Asst, Jasmine did not seem very sympathetic either, because it seemed like she was blaming ME for somehow moving my mouth a centimeter or 2, thereby causing the whitening gel to burn my lips. It's now the next morning and my lip is still swollen. That part is acceptable, no worries however Jasmine's tone with me was non-gentle and accusatory, as she made sure let me know a few times during the 75 minute ordeal, that she was blaming me for burning myself or moving. YOU try staying completely still for 75 minutes with your mouth agape in an unusual way.
Two things: 1. PLEASE have your staff caution patients of how extremely painful this procedure will be (talking about deep tooth sensitivity which is constant, and broken up by sharp, intermittent pain bolts to those whitened teeth, caled "zingers". It's 7am, next day, and I'm still getting them.
2. Counsel Jasmine about having a more customer service-oriented, genteel bedside manner with us somewhat helpless patients.
