I had a brow wax and a signature facial yesterday with Marcela. I usually go to Brooke at Campbell/Skyline or Beth Vasquez at Grant/Wilmot and I love them both, but yesterday I made a last minute appointment.
Biggest criticism was that Marcela didn't do any extractions for me. That is one of the main reasons I go to get a facial and I kept waiting for them and all of a sudden it was over and we never got to it, which was very disappointing. She didn't ask me if I wanted extractions or didn't want them. I've never had a facial where I didn't have extractions, so I didn't know I had to specifically ask or I would have. I am pregnant and I have a lot of acne right now so I was really looking forward to that part.
Also, Marcela has a very light touch. She asked me if her pressure was ok, so I said she could give me more pressure, and she just has such a light touch it didn't feel like a very satisfying massage for me.
Lastly, when Marcela applied the products on my face it didn't feel like she was using enough. I didn't get that luxurious slathering feeling with the product. When she used the exfoliate it kept drying out and she would have to wet her fingers over and over, but it was not very pleasant. The mask with the brush was nice, but even the moisturizing products didn't feel like enough was being used. She didn't use the clairsonic brush on me. She did use the high frequency, but I have had this done so many times and you can definitely feel it. It's not painful per se, but can be uncomfortable, and I'm not sure if she didn't have it turned up high enough or what, but I could not feel it in the slightest?
I did appreciate she had someone come in and tell me about prenatal massage and she was very pleasant to talk to. I also very much appreciated that the receptionist already knew about the $20 coupon, and I gave this right back to Marcela for a tip. I hope this feedback helps!
