Dear Sir/Madam,

what you call as a "simple" oil change is not just an oil change for us. We do a 23 point visual & safety inspection. Our tech must have heard the noise while test driving, but we are not going to investigate further until you authorize us to do so. Secondly, you are probably confused the cabin filter by air filter. Unlike the engine air filter it is a pollen/HEPA filter. The avg cost varies between $40-60 and it is behind the glove compartment and is little labor intensive compared to an air filter. That's why the higher charge. Since you left your name anonymous I have no way of knowing the vehicle you brought in to justify the charges.
