SO When I came in for my Pedi/ Massage, I was greeted at the front desk and checked in. The woman said that my pedicure would be ready soon. I was confused b/c I was thinking that I scheduled my massage first, knowing that I would get polish my toes afterwards. Well seemed confused, so I asked her if could switch them and without a care at all she denied me the favor. Which didn't make sense to me since I'm thinking they are both 60 min long. She didn't even check the schedule to see if would have been capable at all. So figured I just wouldn't get polish, right? Well Allison has done my pedi's before and I knew already that she was slightly more aggressive but this appt seemed to be the most uncomfortable one of them all. She buffed my feet by slapping the buffer against my feet every stroke she took, it was getting kind of annoying and I didn't feel relaxed at all. I wanted my nails squared off, they more rounded and they seemed sharp which tells me she wasn't holding the file at the correct angle. These little thing may be me too picky but when I am paying almost $60 before tip, I expect nothing but the best pedicure ever. Thankfully, she made up for it during the massage, but it was for my birthday to myself and I wanted a thorough yet relaxing pedicure. Taking the time and slowing down the buffing phase is more considerate and just as effective. Please consider this for all guests that come. I'm not sure if I would come back after this session.

The Massage was OK but the room was cold walking in, it should have been warm and inviting with aromas and very dimmed to set the ambiance. the bed was slightly warm but I did ask for it to be warmer. Her touch was pretty cold in the beginning, in which she could prepared for maybe placing her hands under the heat blanket for a moment or so before we got started. Little things like that matter, it a makes the massage a dream come true so maybe focusing on those things next time would be better for all guests. Lastly, the motions were a little too fast pace for me... I expect massages to be slow, deep and consistent. I don't really care for wet cloths unless it's necessary however, warm cloths are more effective really and you still use essential oils on them so you can carry out the aroma/ sensory journey throughout the whole experience.

I know I could be picky, but if the massage is just right I would be coming back atleast 1-2 a month... I'm not sure I would do that at this time since it didn't seem to meet my full expectations. I go to Aveda for specific reasons and the biggest one is because I know I will be treated like a queen, not like a customer... I think time, I was not treated that way at all.
