I have been a regular customer for 5 years but in 2017 I have had two very poor customer service experiences which have led me to look elsewhere for haircuts and coloring. The first occurred in January. I had an appointment scheduled for weeks and confirmed my appointment electronically earlier that week as requested by the salon, only to learn that the salon closed that day due to predicted poor weather. I do not fault the salon for closing, but I was not notified of the closure in any way, shape or form until I arrived to find a sign on the door which left me in a serious lurch 2 hours before a major event. The second issue arose this week when I received an email advertising that the salon was open this Sunday as it would be closed all Labor Day weekend. I was shocked by this given I made arrangements for a cut and color for 9/2 THREE MONTHS EARLIER. Again, zero personalized notification to me - if I had not happened to check the advertisement, I would have been left in the dark again, this time hours before a family wedding! I just cannot risk the chance of a third incident. Please figure out the problem and correct it. I've always been pleased with the work provided and hate not being able to trust that appointments will be kept.
