When I first met Lacey she seemed very nice and enthusiastic. She asked to see what I was wanting for my hair, so I showed her multiple pictures, all showing basically the same thing. I have dark brown hair and I wanted dark red ombré/balayage starting about halfway down on my hair but also blended in. She said she understood and said it was going to look great. After the lightener set and was washed out, she applied the red color all over. Since I am not a hair professional, I thought that was strange, but I was trusting her. When we went to sit down in front of her station I saw that basically my entire head was red. Some pieces brighter than others, but over all so very red. After she finished blow drying my hair, I was not happy and could not leave the salon feeling that way. I apologized and described again what I was wanted and asked if she could put darker dye over top of some of the red. I certainly didn’t mean it in an insulting way, nor was I angry about the misunderstanding, but she seemed very bothered by it. She said maybe 6 words to me after we went back into the color room. She had another client come in who had to wait a few minutes while she finished correcting my hair, which I can see as being irritating making her other client wait, but at the same time my hair wasn’t done properly the first time. Once the dye was set and ready to be washed she passed me off to Claire to finish my blow dry and styling...who was super sweet. My hair looks definitely looks better than before, it’s still not quite 100% what I wanted, but more bothersome than my hair not being right was how she handled the whole thing. She never came back and checked in with me asking if I liked it more, or even to say goodbye.
