About
Our clinic practices traditional medicine and preventative health care through personalized consultations, counseling and treatments by applying the principles of Acupuncture, Traditional Chinese Medicine, and Ayurveda. Additionally, the therapeutic benefits of massage are now available as part of our new clinic services. Through the collaborative efforts of our practitioners, we combine traditional methods with state-of-the-art practices and therapies to provide each patient with a personalized treatment plan, designed to address their individual health needs.
The Salt Spa at Traditional Health Clinic is East Tennessee's first Salt Spa, providing the benefits and healing effects of "Salt Therapy". The Salt Spa features a relaxing salt room for adults and a separate playroom spa for children. The Salt Spa rooms are microclimate-controlled, allergen-free environments providing a constant flow of dry, aerosolized salt for the relief of respiratory and skin conditions.

I was told by the accupuncturist he was for some reason not allowed to be licensed in massage in TN, which concerned me. I have has many acupuncture treatments in the past, none of which have caused any bleeding but this one. Very nice and professional guy and facility otherwise.
Traditional Health Clinic would like to apologize for any confusion concerning this matter. Our practitioner acquired his massage therapy licensure in New Mexico, and maintained his licensure for the entire 10+ year period of residency there before moving to TN.
Massage Therapy falls within the scope of practice as an L.Ac. in the state of TN. Massage may be performed during/as part of treatments.
Bleeding does sometimes occur from puncturing small blood vessels called capillaries. These small vessels may not be visible on the surface of the skin. There is no physical harm from this type of bleeding.
