I buy Aveda salon supplies...about $200 a year. I signed up for a "points" card. It has never worked and the salon has stopped asking me about it. Rip off? Yes, but no other place near me to buy the products

Kris, I am so sorry for the confusion with your points. I reviewed your purchase history and you most definitely have received points on each and every purchase. Your total points to date as well as points earned with purchase show on your receipt at purchase. Currently you have earned 6330 points. All earned since May 2017. I will be in touch with you to do over your balances and how to redeem your points. We have a few guests who are at the point of redeeming points to go on the trip and some who have already redeem for the trip. Of course you can redeem your points on service or product as well. My haircut was what I asked for last time. This time, however, the stylist didnt make my hair as light as I wanted and she didnt cut my hair as short as I wanted. I agreed because after 3.5 hours, I had to leave to pick a family member up. I was also disappointed because I felt as though her pricing consultation included two unnecessary treatments, resulting in more money being spent. Furthermore, the stylist didnt do the beginning essential oil routine I've had before. This experience led me to not want to come back.

Tulip Salon Spa - Aveda replied:

Morgan, I did speak with your stylist and at consultation it was mentioned you were on a time crunch so instead of a full foil, a partial foil was done so you could be out on time. With a partial foil you will not be as light but you did agree to this service so you could be out on time. The botanical treatment was recommended due to your hair being extremely dry and porous. She did cut 2 inches off your hair to remove the dry ends and did ask if you wanted is shorter and you agreed. Your stylist did take an additional 1/2 inch off. Since your hair was being highlighted a gloss was recommended to take away the yellow tones to finish your hair to a beige blonde. All this was part of the consult as well as the cost of the services prior to starting the services. The stylist did mention that due to the volume of hair you had and the time crunch to perform the services necessary, she did not do the ritual. She did want to blow dry your hair thoroughly dry to see how the hair looked for color and cut before your left. On your next appointment, we most definitely can take you lighter and will recommend a full foil with time allowance based on the thickness of your hair as well as take it shorter if you still feel more needs to come off the length.
