I'm six months pregnant and went to the Wellness Center for a 30 minute pre-natal massage. I've had prenatal massages before so I was somewhat disappointed in the fact that this facility seemed completely unprepared to offer a satisfying experience.
First, other spas I've been to have had the raised prenatal cushion that allows pregnant women to lie on their stomach (with a hole cut out for your belly) for the half of the massage. Since they didn't have that I was on my side and back for entire duration.
Also, when booking my massage, no one mentioned that there was a $7 "pregnancy" surcharge. It's like you're getting penalized for getting being pregnant when there was absolutely no extra features or amenities offered.
Your body is changing so much throughout your pregnancy with so many aches and pains. And it would of been nice to walk out of the Wellness Center feeling like my money had been well spent. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case.
