They told us there was a smell of gasoline in the car indicating a specific problem in our vehicle especially since it is over 10 years old. We never smelled gas in the car, but believed what they said was needed for repair. After picking up the vehicle at closing time, we drove down the road a few miles and could smell gasoline. Westlake Independent was closed and would be for the weekend. So, we tried to keep the windows and trunk open to air out the car as much as we could while also ensuring it would not be stolen. After 3 days the smell seemed to be fading, but we are still having to be watchful.
Also, when we came to get our vehicle the right, front corner of the bumper had a smear of white paint across it that was not there before. Someone had rubbed into another vehicle or something with white paint. The Westlake rep came out with some sort of cleaners to get the paint off, but took off the bumper's paint and sheen as well. The bumper was ruined in that area, and it is an old car, but it did not have that damage before going here.
