I went in for post-dentalwork pain. I was told it was normal to have pain because of some nerve branches being very close to where a cavity was drilled and filled. This risk was not explained to me when I had my initial consultation with the dentist. If this risk had been explained to me, I would have gone to someone else for a second opinion before getting the cavities filled. Throughout my life I've had approximately 10 cavities filled or re-filled, and I never had pain with any of them. But this time, I went into a dental office with no pain, was told I had 5 cavities to be filled, followed the dentist's instructions in getting them filled, and now I have pain every time I drink or eat something cold, hot, or crunchy on the left side of my mouth. To me, this is negligence.
